There is no grading, rating or certification of nonprofits, but the “Reviewed by Your Community Foundation” icon associated with a profile means that the organization answered each required question and key information was validated by foundation staff.
The Giving Partner is an online tool populated with in-depth information about more than 300 charitable organizations serving Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee and Sarasota counties. Nonprofits voluntarily upload information into the tool and update it annually. Each nonprofit profile includes the 501(c)(3) organization’s legal name and information about its core mission, programmatic impact, governance, management and financials.
The Giving Partner is a collaborative effort of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Gulf Coast Community Foundation and Manatee Community Foundation, with support from The Patterson Foundation. (The Patterson Foundation’s role is to provide added value through strategic communications, financial thrivability and technology to inspire philanthropy and enhance the impact of generosity.)
