Interview with
Wanda Hjort-Heger

A 21-year old Norwegian recognized for her efforts helping prisoners in Nazi Concentration camps during World War II.

In her own words, at age 97, she is reflecting on a life led in service to others. Driven by wanting the best for others and the courage to act, she delivered potato salad to prisoners at various Concentration camps.

In a fascinating interview shortly before her passing, you will, among many things, hear why her family was forced to leave Nazi-occupied Norway and live under house arrest in Germany during WWII and how it shaped her long well-lived life.

And not to mention how her actions were instrumental to the White Bus Rescue Action and how something as simple as a jar of potato salad led to the rescue of 15,500 Holocaust victims.
